Public Sector Opportunities
We provide access to IT roles with the public sector including the Ministries, broader public sector (inclusive of government-connected healthcare and education organizations, among others), and Metrolinx, Toronto’s public transit provider. We additionally seek subcontractors on an as-needed basis for opportunities with private MERAK clients.
While the specific rates and duration of each position is subject to variation, these roles are typically contracted for around one year with an option for extension. We collaborate with contractors to determine a competitive and fair daily rate on a per-submission basis, so they can always be certain they’re well informed and receiving an offer that works for them.

Collects, processes, and analyzes large and complex datasets using advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques to uncover patterns, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making within an organization.
Database Administrator
Designs, maintains, and optimizes databases to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and security, while also analyzing data to support business needs and improve system performance.
DevOps Engineer
Designs, implements, and manages automated processes and tools to streamline software development, testing, deployment, and infrastructure management, fostering collaboration between development and operations teams to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability of applications.
Developer
Designs, writes, tests, and maintains code to create software applications or systems that meet user needs, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver functional, efficient, and reliable solutions.
Product Manager
Oversees the development and lifecycle of a product by defining its vision, gathering and prioritizing requirements, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring the product meets customer needs and business goals.
Project Manager
Plans, organizes, and oversees projects from initiation to completion, managing resources, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.
Program Manager
Coordinates and oversees multiple related projects to ensure they align with organizational goals, managing resources, risks, and stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes and maximize overall value.
Quality Assurance Analyst
Develops and executes tests to identify defects in software or systems, ensuring that products meet specified requirements and quality standards before release.
System Administrator
Installs, configures, and maintains an organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and software, to ensure reliable and secure operation of computer systems.
System Analyst
